Back to Function Physical Therapy and Wellness
Susan Morgan
"Dr. Nick Sterling has been a GOD send for me. I've dealt with chronic back pain for over 10 years, and was certain I needed surgery. However, through our sessions, I have found enormous relief and I have also learned stretching techniques and exercises that are keeping the problem at bay. He is always punctual, responsive, and very accommodating in regarding to schedule and price. I cannot recommend him enough!"

Our Story
Dr. Sterling has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 2021. As he began working in the outpatient setting he noticed some problems and an overall broken health care system. Many big box PT clinics were turning into something called PT mills. What is a PT mill? A PT mill is a clinic that is focused primarily on money and getting as many patients in and out the door (in an efficient manner) to gain as much profit as possible for the company. To paint a picture of this, imagine a room jam-packed with treatment tables and people akin to a can of sardines. You come in and are told by a technician (typically a high school or a college student) how to perform your exercises, despite them not having the proper education to ensure you are doing your exercises correctly. After being left alone for 5 minutes with the same exercise you are done but have to wait on the technician to tell you your next exercise which causes you to be there for much longer than you anticipated. Meanwhile, the staff is either glued to their computers to finish up lengthy documentation or distracted talking with co-workers about personal stuff while you are patiently waiting for your next exercise. After a few visits, you notice you are doing the exact same thing every session and wonder couldn't I do this on my own at home?
This is clearly a big problem, yet this is the current standard of care at most out-patient therapy clinics. Dr. Sterling noticed this type of environment causes patient care to go down the drain, which sparked the creation of Back to Function Rehab!
